I am a final-year journalism student at RMIT University. From a young age I’ve been interested in Journalism. When my family and I were refugees in Jordan, we experienced unfairness from different aspects. But the most painful one was living the consequences of the decisions made by those in power. That’s when I became convicted I wanted to spend the rest of my years holding the power accountable and lending a helping hand to the vulnerable.

I am determined and passionately curious. I can deliver engaging storytelling for audiences across different platforms under tight deadlines. Some of my work has been published on my University’s websites. I can explore and investigate issues, people and places that are important to the intended audience. I have strong communication skills and can easily build relationships from diverse backgrounds. I also speak four languages, Assyrian, Arabic, English and Kurdish. I enjoy working within a team environment and independently. I am a quick learner and I’m always keen to learn new skills and work on different projects.
